Location: New York City Talisman Advisory Partners has been retained by a leading global investment bank to appoint a Vice President within its Power, Renewables & Infrastructure advisory group in New York. The group advises leading infrastructure investors, strategic corporates, and sponsors across a broad range of sectors including conventional power generation, renewable energy, utilities, digital infrastructure, and energy transition. The team is highly active across large-cap M&A and strategic advisory assignments, with transaction sizes typically ranging from $500M to $10B+. This is an opportunity to join a growing and well-established platform with strong deal flow, deep client relationships, and significant momentum across the infrastructure and energy transition landscape. Job Summary: The team is seeking a Vice President (VP2) to play a key role in the execution and management of complex M&A transactions across the power, renewables, and infrastructure sectors. The successful candidate will work closely with senior bankers and infrastructure-focused clients, while managing junior team members and leading transaction workstreams from inception through closing. This role is focused on M&A advisory and strategic transactions and is not a project finance position. Key Responsibilities: Lead execution workstreams across M&A and strategic advisory transactions Develop and oversee complex financial models, valuation analyses, and transaction materials Coordinate diligence processes and manage external advisors and counterparties Prepare client presentations, board materials, and transaction documentation Support senior bankers in client coverage and origination efforts Manage analysts and associates across live transactions and pitches Build relationships with infrastructure investors, sponsors, and strategic corporates Contribute to strategic positioning and idea generation across the power and infrastructure landscape Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree from a top-tier accredited university 5-8 years of experience in investment banking or M&A advisory Strong transaction execution experience with significant deal exposure (“reps”) Experience across power, renewables, infrastructure, or energy transition sectors preferred Knowledge of conventional power generation and/or renewable energy highly desirable Strong financial modeling and valuation capabilities Excellent communication, analytical, and presentation skills Demonstrated ability to manage junior professionals and multiple concurrent workstreams Entrepreneurial mindset and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment Preferred Backgrounds: The client is particularly interested in candidates from leading advisory groups and elite boutique investment banks operating in power, utilities & infrastructure.
