Safety Equipment Assembly Technician – 3M Production Partner

Express Employment Professionals is partnering with 3M in Red Wing, MN to hire Assemblers across multiple shifts. You’ll work in a clean, bright, climate‑controlled facility producing safety equipment used around the world. No prior assembly experience is required—expect full, hands‑on training and a supportive team from day one.

A day in the role

• Rotate through tasks to keep your day varied and engaging
• Read and follow simple blueprints to guide each build
• Assemble and fasten components using small tools and equipment
• Sew product components as needed (training provided—no prior sewing experience required)
• Perform quality checks to verify product standards
• Work closely with a small, collaborative team in a production environment

Available schedules 1st Shift

• Monday–Thursday | 4:00am–2:30pm
• Monday–Thursday | 5:00am–3:30pm
• Monday–Thursday | 5:00am–2:30pm AND Friday | 5:00am–9:00am

2nd Shift

• Monday–Thursday | 3:30pm–2:00am
• Monday-Friday | 3:00pm - 11:00pm

3rd Shift

• Monday–Friday | 11:00pm–7:00am
• Tuesday–Friday | 8:30pm–7:00am

What you’ll bring

• High school diploma or GED
• Ability to stand and move for the full shift
• Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 lbs
• At least 6 months of prior work history (any industry)
• Ability to pass a drug screen, background check, and coordination assessment
• Willingness to learn new skills and thrive in a team environment
• Strong reliability and consistent attendance
