Manufacturing Technicians are responsible for operating and sustaining equipment in high volume production, troubleshooting process and equipment issues, continuous improvement activities related to process and equipment and support of Production. Will enable next generation components and systems related to semiconductor diodes lasers, optics, and fiber coupled devices.Schedule:C Thursday-Saturday bi-Wednesday 5A-5:15PRequired Competencies, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:Reporting to Manufacturing, load, operate and maintain automated production tools, ensuring high quality, throughput and utilization.Troubleshoot equipment and process issues, perform routine data collection, and effectively communicate the status of tools and proposed solutions.Help define and execute routine process equipment maintenance and calibrations.Work collaboratively with process engineering to manage specific processes and assist in defining and executing continuous process improvements with a focus on projects that reduce PM or tool down durations, improve safety/ergonomics, and reduce tool interruptions.Support engineering in documenting processes in Prototype and High-volume lines.Drive continuous improvement opportunities utilizing wide variety of analytical techniques (such as SPC, DOE, Gage R&R), lean manufacturing, and six sigma concepts.Perform manufacturing builds and other production tasks as needed to meet production goals.Qualifications:Minimum of 6 months experience as an MSIII or 1+ years of experience in high volume production environment working with electronics, semiconductor equipment, or opto-mechanical assemblies, as a technicianAbility to acquire job skills and learn company policies and procedures to complete routine tasks.Demonstrated basic understanding of PCVD technology and electronic signal controls.Demonstrated ability to use common hand tools such as multimeters and other tools necessary for performing in the role.Good written and verbal communication skillsGood computer skills and comfortable learning new tools and processesAble to follow prescribed OCAP for the issue.Complete all assigned Litmos courses.Ability to perform routine mechanical tasks.
