Senior Desktop SupportHII's Mission Technologies division is looking for a qualified Senior Information Technology Specialist to primarily perform customer service and desktop support, with additional support to network engineering effort. Position is located at Wright-Patterson AFB, Ohio. Requires an active TS/SCI.This job will:Support all aspects of AFLCMC/WB IT systems management to include planning, design, acquisition, installation and set-up, testing, accreditation, fielding, support, and disposition of IT equipment, components, and softwarePlan, schedule, coordinate, install, update, and accomplish day-to-day administration for software and hardware on multiple classified networksProvide help desk support for all IT networks and communication systems for on-site and off-site personnelEssential Job Responsibilities:Manage IT network equipment to include switches, routers, and both basic and advanced configurations of firewallsConfigure and troubleshoot Video Teleconferencing and Voice over IP telephone systemsSupport analysis and testing to ensure equipment and software additions and upgrades compatible with existing infrastructureOptimize the function and performance of network hardware and software to ensure IT system availability, integrity, efficiency, and reliabilityTroubleshoot, identify network problems and develop, coordinate, and implement corrective actionsSupport tracking of network equipment and software technology obsolescence and help analyze and prepare trades for future maintenance and replacement in support of IT budget planningWill take classes on SharePointSupport IT system back-up, data restoration, and disaster recoverySupport basic maintenance for printers, scanners, monitors, and Keyboard Video Monitor (KVM) switchesSupport preparation of required network cyber (IA) documentationSupport all tasks associated with IT operations and maintenance associated with network centric and global grid interoperability requirements, Clinger-Cohen reporting requirements, and other IT certification processesSupport self-assessments using the MICTMinimum Qualifications:5 years relevant experience maintaining IT systems with Bachelors in related field; 3 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; 0 years experience with PhD or Juris Doctorate in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 9 years relevant experienceActive TS/SCI clearancePreferred Requirements:Experience installing and configuring Linux operating systems in a mixed Linux/Windows environmentExperience developing standardized procedures for account establishment, system maintenance, and system recoveryExperience developing and implementing maintenance and upgrade procedures to minimize disruption of normal business functions of organization within the installationKnowledge of, and experience implementing, DoD and Air Force Technology regulations, services, and instructions to ensure communications and computer services are in compliance with applicable regulations and instructionsExperience developing network Standard Operating Procedures and implementing audits, threat and vulnerability assessments, and applying security-related software tools to manage and control classified information systemsExperience managing the configuration of classified information systemsExperience with Multi-Level secure networks and automated cross-domain security solutionsExperience uploading and downloading files across classified networks operating at different classification levels, and controlling and recording all incoming and outgoing digital mediaExperience resolving information systems security incidentsThe listed salary range for this role is intended as a good faith estimate based on the role's location, expectations, and responsibilities.
