Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Pediatric Step Down – Colorado

Start Date: November 16, 2026

Location: Denver, Colorado

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM, rotating schedule with every other weekend required. Night shift availability required for travelers in their first contract.

Highlights:

• 36-bed pediatric step-down unit with all private rooms and parent sleeping accommodations
• Mixed acuity patient population including post-operative spinal fusions, chest tubes, and high-flow oxygen support
• Nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:3 for step-down patients and 1:4 for basic care patients
• Meditech EMR system with Phillips monitoring equipment
• Seasonal travel contract with experienced, collaborative team of 60+ nursing professionals
• On-site parking provided free of charge with direct bridge access to the unit

Requirements:

• Minimum 1 year of current Pediatric RN experience required
• Current BLS and NRP certifications
• Demonstrated competency with high-flow oxygen, post-operative spinal fusion care, and chest tube management
• Proficiency in NGT placement, Foley catheter insertion, IV insertion, and phlebotomy
• Active RN license in good standing
• Prior Meditech experience preferred
• Multiple years of travel nursing experience preferred for day shift consideration
