We are a 5 year running Top Workplace in the Greater St. Louis area.Job SummaryLeonardo DRS Land Systems is seeking a full time Electrical Engineer I. This position is based out of our Bridgeton, MO facility and will have the option to work an in person or hybrid schedule. This position is involved with the design, development, modification and analysis of various electronics systems. This may include Hardware, Power Engineering, Power Electronic Engineering, Electromagnetic Engineering, Integrated Circuit Engineering, Components or others.Job ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, analyze, document and support testing of products, systems or subsystemsSupport and participate in technical activityReview customer specifications and requirements, and under direction, develop designs to best support them, including cost as a key design variableTroubleshoot and diagnose malfunctions in existing products or systems and makes modifications as neededAssist engineers in designing and maintaining system Interface Control Documents (ICD)Compile and evaluate design and test dataAnalyze, develop and recommend design approachesMay use computer-aided engineering or other design/analysis software in the performance of assignmentsAbility to work independently under supervision of othersProvide regular reporting of progress and statusResponsible for completion of assigned task on time and meeting technical requirementsSpecify and evaluate supplier components, subsystems and servicesSupport the program design to cost and design for manufacture requirementsDevelop prototypes to retire key development risks as directedCommunicate clearly (written and oral) with other company personnel and the customer as requiredMay participate in preparation of less complex proposalsAttend appropriate engineering, customer or business meetingsQualificationsBachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related technical fieldExcellent analytical and communication skills, written and verbalExperience using Microsoft Office toolsExperience with using modeling software such as schematic capture and PC layout tools is a plusAbility to read and understand commercial and/or military electrical drawings is a plusU.S. Citizenship required.
