Chemical/Mechanical EngineerIn Santa Clara, CA you will work on projects that enable the heart of our clients' research and development, testing, and manufacturing.Required:Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Chemical Engineering from ABET Accredited UniversityThree (3) years of practical application of mechanical facilities engineering, including HVAC, hydronics, process piping, exhaust, plumbing, and related mechanical facilities systemsEngineer in Training (EIT) actively pursuing Professional Engineer (PE) LicensePreferred:Two (2) years of experience working with complex semiconductor manufacturing tools either their manufacture, installation, or use in cleanroomsProficient working knowledge of AutoCAD and Navisworks softwareStrong written and verbal communication skillsStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsForward-thinking, eager to learn best practices and contribute with innovative ideasDemonstrated ability to learn quickly and driven to broaden knowledge baseAbility to collaborate and work effectively in a variety of teams, including multi-discipline design teamsPassion for buildings and constructionOne (1) year field experience in an industrial facilityJob Responsibilities:As a Facilities Process Chemical/Mechanical in Santa Clara, CA you will work on projects that enable the heart of our clients' research and development, testing, and manufacturing.You and the other team members will work closely with client stakeholders in a fast-paced, dynamic environment to establish design requirements and produce construction documents for the installation of complex manufacturing tools, tenant improvements, and core facility infrastructure upgrades.Responsibilities include design and layout for wet and dry piping, equipment layout, HVAC, exhaust, fire suppression, process chemical piping and gasses for extensive tools in some of the most complex, densely packed industrial facilities on the planet.Technical engineering responsibilities include design and oversight for piping for equipment water, wastewater, process chemicals and gasses. The design may include retrofit of existing building systems to accommodate tool installation including engineering calculations, equipment and component sizing, selection, and specification, and support during construction and integration into the factory.As a Process Mechanical/Chemical representative on a multi-discipline design team, you will work directly with other design staff, client equipment owners, stakeholders, and equipment manufacturers of next generation and prototype tools to build utility requirement documents to allow the development of installation design packages.You will interact directly with clients and contractors throughout the design process and assist with RFI and submittal services on site during the construction phase.
