Project Engineer - San FranciscoTurner & Townsend Heery is hiring an ambitious and self-starting Project Engineer to support K-12 and public sector construction projects in San Francisco. This person will be supporting core project coordination efforts across the project.Responsibilities include managing individual tasks throughout the construction process including submittal and RFI process, reviewing subcontractor authorizations, performing bid normalization, regular collaboration and coordination with internal resources and build contractors, conducting background research, data collection and benchmarking, RFI processing, DSA experience, change order management, punch-list management, performing quantity take-offs and reviewing estimates, tracking and reporting cost savings, reviewing contractor/subcontractor monthly pay applications, assisting in the preparation of monthly reports and other progress reports to the client, meeting coordination, transcribing meeting minutes and action items and driving each item to closure, maintaining the standards, processes, procedures, and deliverables for all reporting activities for assigned delivery team, ensuring project compliance with document controls and file specifications, administering project closeout specifications and associated turnover documentation.QualificationsBachelor's or advanced degree in Construction Management, Engineering or related field, or equivalent experience.Ground-up public sector construction/Commercial Real Estate experience or TI experience is nice to have.A minimum of 2 years as a Construction Project Engineer or similar.Experience assisting or supervising construction projects of increasing complexity required.Strong problem solving skills and ability to perform job requirements with minimal supervision.Membership in relevant professional organizations is preferred.Knowledge of CSA (civil, structural, architectural) and MEP (mechanical, electrical, plumbing) construction.Ability to develop good working relationships within different client cultures and across multiple project teams.Drive to be proactive and self-motivated.Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.Working knowledge of MS Projects.Good with numbers, technology, and web-based data platforms.Advanced skills with spreadsheets, charts, and presentations.Expected travel is less than 5%, but may grow and evolve over time.Valid US passport with no visa restrictions.Additional InformationThe salary range for this full-time role is $95k-$125k per year. Ranges are determined by role and level and represent a good faith effort to provide a fair and equitable salary. This range is a reflection of base salary only, not of a total compensation package.
