Analyze test data and provide meaningful interpretation and communication to relevant parties, both internal and external. Be responsible for maintenance of necessary testing equipment and coordinate with Lab Manager to ensure all equipment is properly operating, calibrated, and documented. Be actively engaged in growth culture through mentoring and training programs, both as provider and receiver.Key Duties and Responsibilities:Perform all aspects of product testing, including but not limited to developing test procedures, researching new methodology, analyzing data, and generating detail-oriented reportsPrioritize, interpret, and communicate value adding testing opportunities to the businessProvide support across multiple functions, business units and locations by operating as a technical resource and problem solver on product performance-related issuesMaintain up-to-date testing procedures based on industry standardsFacilitate external testing as necessary through technical collaboration, quotation, and transportation of relevant samplesParticipate in select production trials and customer evaluations to identify testing improvement opportunitiesAdhere to ISO quality procedures and processesPromote teamwork and a "One" ORBIS mentalityEducation/CertificationLevel Required: Associate degree and experience in plastic product testing -OR- Bachelor's degree in engineering (mechanical)Level Desired: Bachelor's in engineering / strong mechanical backgroundDescription: Experience may be considered in lieu of educationWork ExperienceRequired: 2 years of applicable technical experienceDesired: Experience with product development in an ISO controlled environmentLab based experience involving general lab procedures and testingExperience with testing of plastic materials following ASTM/AIAGAdditional Knowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesSafety sensitive position – ability to work in constant state of alertness and safe mannerAbility to work in and promote a culture of safetyAbility to safely operate a forklift.Ability to handle stress of working with othersAbility to be available outside of normal work hoursAbility to coach and develop others on technical and professional mattersAbility to lead by exampleAbility to communicate effectively across various roles and backgrounds, both verbally and writtenAbility to demonstrate proficiency in analysis and assessment with ability to explain complex scientific concepts to non-technical audienceAbility to adapt to changing priorities through communication and organizational skillsCompetency in using SAP and Microsoft Office Suite to obtain, communicate and record relevant business knowledgeTravel Requirements10% travelParticipation / on-site attendance during production trialsTwo companies, one vision.Menasha Corporation consists of two companies that are leading the way to a sustainable future with packaging and supply chain solutions.
