Role snapshot

• Location: 400 Main Street, Ashland, MA 01721, USA
• Shifts: Multiple shifts available; opportunities include second shift.
• Environment: Quality‑driven, safety‑first, collaborative production floor.

Core responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC and manual lathes and milling machines.
• Interpret blueprints, route sheets, and technical instructions; prove out first‑run parts.
• Execute end‑to‑end CNC machining (setup, milling, turning) with close tolerances.
• Measure precisely and select/adjust machine parameters to maintain spec.
• Program and run manual, semi‑automated, and automated equipment (lathes, mills, grinders).
• Leverage precision metrology tools (calipers, micrometers, compasses) for verification.
• Plan efficient task sequences to optimize throughput.
• Monitor production, tweak feeds/speeds, and correct deviations in‑process.
• Maintain inventory records for completed components.
• Perform in‑process and final inspections; resolve defects at the source.
• Conduct routine maintenance, including refilling coolant, lubricants, and hydraulic oils.
• Keep a clean, organized, and safe workstation.
• Support adjacent operations and team priorities as needed.

Must‑haves

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Coordination, mechanical aptitude, and strong attention to measurement detail.
• Ability to read/interpret complex drawings and specifications.
• Understanding of manufacturing safety protocols.
• Math proficiency and basic computer literacy.
• Experience with machine tools or mechanical assembly.

Preferred

• Vertical Mori & 5‑Axis Mori exposure.
• Knowledge of brass, stainless steel, bronze, and aluminum.
• Proficiency with CAD software.
• Vocational/technical program or apprenticeship completion.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills.
