Dean's Professional Services is now hiring a qualified Child Life Assistant to work Part-Time in a large healthcare organization in the Houston area.

Child Life Assistant Job Details:

Schedule: Saturday and Sunday | 9:00am - 7:30pm

Location: Texas Medical Center (TMC) Houston

Starting Pay Rate: $21.00 / Hourly (Based on experience)

Temporary to hire

Job Responsibilities:

• Provide bedside play, recreation, and educational activities for pediatric patients.
• Supervise patient activity spaces and assist with special events and programs.
• Plan and support patient activities and programming.
• Deliver and distribute equipment, supplies, and donations.
• Assist with transporting patients to activities and events.
• Maintain accurate attendance and activity records.
• Assist Child Life Specialists with pediatric volunteers.
• Provide support and engagement for patients unable to leave their rooms.

Job Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1+ year of experience working with children, adolescents, or young adults in healthcare, childcare, education, recreation, or youth program
• CPR certification required.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Creative, patient, and adaptable when working with children with varying needs.
• Comfortable providing bedside activities and support in a pediatric healthcare environment.
• Preferred: Associate's degree in Child Development, Early Childhood Education, Human Development, or a related field.
