You will be responsible for approving or declining consumer credit requests with underwriting authority of $100,000 to $1,000,000 or commercial credit requests with underwriting authority of $250,000 to $1,000,000. More than that, this role is about building relationships and providing top-quality service and doing so with integrity, caring, and excellence in mind.What you'll do :Approve/decline or make recommendation for alternative financing within established loan authorityMentor, train and coach bankersAssist in training and mentoring Underwriter I'sAct as the department liaisonAlways take action using Integrity, Caring, and Excellence to achieve all-win outcomesWhat you'll need:Bachelor's degree preferably in Business, Finance, Accounting, or Economics or equivalent experience2+ years of experience in lending, preferably within underwritingProven record of success in an underwriting environmentAbility to understand cash flow, financial statements and leverage ratiosAbility to analyze financial statements and evaluate cash flow, capital and collateral adequacyExcellent written and verbal communication skillsProficient in Microsoft computer applicationsOur Benefits:At Frost, we care about your health, your family, and your future and strive to have our benefits reflect that.
