Must-Have: - Required work setting experience: Client clinical laboratory. - Blood bank skills/experience: ABO/Rh/Antibody Screen & ID, AHG Crossmatch, Antibody Typing: Tube Method, and more. - Chemistry skills/experience: 24-hour urine, Acetone Analysis, Arterial Blood Gas, and more. - Equipment skills/experience: Siemens Dimensions, Sysmex XM. - Hematology/Coagulation skills/experience: Automated Instrument Use, Manual Differential, and more. - Immunology/Serology skills/experience: ASO titer, Body fluids, Rheumatoid Factor, and more. - Microbiology skills/experience: Culture plating, Cytospin, Gram Stain, and more. - Specimen processing/handling skills/experience: Accessioning, Pipetting, Specimen Collection, and more. - Uranalysis skills/experience: Analyzer, Crystal identification, Manual macroscopic UA, and more. - Professional knowledge and skills: Blood specimen storage, Proper disposal, Quality assurance and controls, and more. Description: This position requires a Medical Technologist specializing in laboratory work. The work involves various tests and procedures, including CBC, CMP, and blood cultures. The candidate will be responsible for practical laboratory tasks such as specimen processing and quality control. Weekend work and the ability to float to different areas of the laboratory are required. Experience in a hospital clinical laboratory setting is crucial. The role may include overnight shifts as needed, so flexibility is essential. Attention to detail and adherence to safety and quality standards are expected. The ability to work independently and as part of a team is important. Cerner experience is preferred but not mandatory. Candidates must be prepared to complete necessary compliance requirements before starting the role.
