Job description

Superintendent

The Superintendent will be responsible for managing all on-site construction activities and leading project teams through successful project delivery.

Responsibilities include:

  • Leading day-to-day field operations and subcontractor activities
  • Maintaining project schedules, coordinating sequencing, and managing site logistics
  • Championing a strong safety culture and ensuring compliance across all trades
  • Reviewing construction documents and proactively resolving field issues
  • Monitoring quality, productivity, and project performance against established goals
  • Leading subcontractor meetings and coordinating communication between stakeholders
  • Mentoring field staff and supporting the development of future construction leaders

The successful applicant will have:

  • 7+ years of Superintendent experience on commercial, industrial, institutional, healthcare, mission critical, manufacturing, or large-scale construction projects
  • Experience working for a General Contractor
  • Ability to manage projects valued at $30M+ preferred
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, scheduling, safety, and quality control
  • Experience leading subcontractors, field engineers, and project teams
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and construction management software
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
  • OSHA certifications and additional safety credentials highly desirable
  • Ability to travel or relocate based on project requirements
