Material Planning Associate
Required Skills & Experience: Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Operations, Logistics, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- 1-3 years of experience in material planning, supply chain, inventory management, logistics, or related operations.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
Nice to Have Skills & Experience: Experience within a pharmaceutical, biotechnology, GMP-regulated, or manufacturing environment.
- Familiarity with material qualification and inventory control processes.
- Knowledge of supply chain planning and demand forecasting principles.

Job Description: Insight Global is seeking a Material Planning Associate to join a leading pharmaceutical client, in Groton, CT. This individual will support the Global Materials Management team by ensuring the timely planning, qualification, and supply of materials required for research and manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of collaborating across multiple functions to maintain uninterrupted production schedules and support compliance with internal quality standards.
Key responsibilities include developing and maintaining material plans, monitoring inventory levels, coordinating with procurement and logistics teams, and supporting material qualification activities. This individual will play a critical role in proactively identifying and resolving material shortages, supply risks, and delivery challenges to ensure operational continuity.
- Develop and maintain material plans to support manufacturing, laboratory, and project timelines.
- Coordinate with procurement, logistics, suppliers, and internal stakeholders to ensure material availability and timely delivery.
- Monitor inventory levels and execute replenishment activities to prevent shortages and production disruptions.
- Support material qualification processes, documentation, and compliance requirements.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to resolve supply chain issues, material delays, and inventory discrepancies.
- Analyze material demand trends and provide recommendations to improve planning efficiency and inventory management.
- Maintain accurate data within ERP systems and generate reports to support operational planning activities.
