Financial representatives and interns are independent contractors, not Northwestern Mutual employees. Role Description This full-time, on-site Financial Planner role is based in Dripping Springs, TX. The Financial Planner will meet with clients to assess their current financial situation, clarify their goals, and develop comprehensive financial plans covering areas such as retirement, protection strategies, and investment allocation. Day-to-day responsibilities include analyzing financial data, recommending appropriate insurance and investment solutions, monitoring plan performance, and adjusting strategies as client circumstances change. The role involves ongoing client relationship management, including regular reviews, education on financial concepts, and coordination with internal and external specialists when needed. The Financial Planner will also engage in business development activities, such as networking and prospecting, to grow and maintain a robust client base. Qualifications Candidates should possess strong Financial Planning and Personal Financial Planning skills focused on holistic, client-centered advice. Candidates should possess expertise in Finance and Retirement Planning to design long‑term strategies for wealth accumulation and income distribution. Candidates should possess or be working toward Certified Financial Planner (CFP) certification or a comparable professional designation. Relevant bachelor’s degree (e.g., Finance, Economics, Business) or equivalent professional experience. Demonstrated ability to build trust, communicate complex concepts clearly, and maintain long‑term client relationships. Strong analytical, organizational, and time‑management skills, with attention to accuracy and compliance requirements. Ability to work on-site in Dripping Springs, TX, and engage in local networking and business development activities.
