As a Senior Network Engineer specializing in design and installation, you will play a pivotal role in providing network services by focusing on the design, configuration, and integration of network technologies.
Your expertise will be crucial in delivering Level 3 support to the business, particularly emphasizing end-user network support through ServiceNow.
The ideal candidate will possess advanced skills in Cisco Switching and Routing, along with a deep understanding of routing protocols.
Experience with F5 and cloud networking would be advantageous, although not mandatory.
Key Responsibilities :
- Design, implement, and maintain network infrastructure solutions by business requirements and industry best practices.
- Provide Level 3 support for network-related issues, troubleshooting complex problems and ensuring timely resolution.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate network solutions into existing systems and applications.
- Conduct thorough analysis and assessment of network performance, recommending and implementing enhancements as needed.
- Develop and maintain documentation for network configurations, processes, and procedures.
- Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends, incorporating relevant advancements into network design and implementation strategies.
- Participate in the evaluation and selection of network hardware, software, and services vendors.
- Mentor junior team members and contribute to their professional development.
Requirements :
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Proven experience in designing, configuring, and integrating network technologies.
- Extensive knowledge of Cisco Switching and Routing, including hands-on experience with Cisco routers and switches.
- Proficiency in routing protocols such as BGP, OSPF, and EIGRP.
- Experience providing Level 3 support, with a focus on end-user network support using ServiceNow or similar platforms.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex network issues.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a dynamic environment, ensuring timely completion with attention to detail.
- Nice to have : Experience with F5 load balancers and cloud networking platforms such as AWS or Azure.
