Industrial Engineer – Aerospace Manufacturing

What You’ll Do
- Conduct time studies and analyze equipment / workforce performance .
- Identify and resolve production bottlenecks to boost throughput.
- Standardize work procedures and develop training programs for technicians.
- Build KPI dashboards and value stream maps to monitor and improve performance.
- Partner with cross-functional teams— engineering, quality, and production —to align improvement initiatives.
- Manage project timelines using Gantt charts and milestone tracking.
Tools & Techniques
Time / cycle analysis, routing optimization.Lean tools : 5S, Kaizen, Value Stream Mapping .Project management : Gantt charts, dashboards.Optional : Simulation modeling , cloud-based analytics platforms.Compliance & Standards
AS9100 – Mandatory for traceability and process control.Lean VSM – Required for waste reduction and flow optimization.ISO 22400 – Optional for KPI standardization.ISO 18435 – Optional for simulation and dynamic modeling.Sample Projects
Analyze cycle time data to pinpoint delays in landing gear machining.Design a Gantt chart to coordinate fixture upgrades across shifts.Propose layout changes to minimize part movement and improve flow.Facilitate weekly meetings focused on spindle utilization and operator efficiency .Qualifications
1-3 years of experience in industrial engineering.Background in aerospace machining or high-mix manufacturing preferred.
