Mechanical Engineer Specialized in Equipment Design for Regulated Industries

Seeking a skilled mechanical engineer with proficiency in CAD software and hands-on experience in designing specialized equipment, primarily for the food and pharmaceutical sectors.

Job Requirements :

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in mechanical design engineering.
• Proficiency in Siemens NX11 or 12 CAD software; experience with other CAD packages may be considered.
• Demonstrated experience in designing specialized machinery for the food or pharmaceutical industry.
• Strong understanding of stainless-steel fabrication processes.
• Comprehensive knowledge of machine design, including familiarity with drives, pumps, and rotating mechanisms.

Preferred Skills :

• Advanced degree in Mechanical Engineering or related disciplines.
• Professional Engineering (PE) license.
• Experience with Ansys FEA or similar analysis software.
• Familiarity with industry-specific standards and regulations.
• Proficiency in 3D modeling and detailed drawing creation.

Job Responsibilities :

• Develop innovative design solutions for complex machinery, focusing on usability, reliability, and performance.
• Create and revise detailed 3D models and drawings, ensuring compliance with industry and regulatory standards.
• Analyze equipment requirements and performance specifications, conducting necessary calculations and feasibility studies.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including fabrication, assembly, and quality assurance, to ensure design integrity and product quality.
• Perform structural analysis on components and assemblies with tools like Ansys FEA, optimizing for material, cost, and design considerations.
• Stay updated with emerging technologies, materials, and methods applicable to machine design and manufacturing.
• Document design processes, validation, and testing procedures, ensuring all technical documentation is accurate and complete.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, recommending process enhancements and new technologies for increased efficiency and product innovation.

Pay Details : $70,000.00 to $90,000.00 per year
