TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified PACU/Pre-Post Op RN in Midland, Texas, 79701!

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: PACU Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 8 Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience preferred License: Current and valid nursing license Certifications: BLS ACLS PALS NIH Must-Have: Experience with pediatrics required Critical care experience strongly preferred Ability to cover in Pre-Op Description: Start date is within the next 3-5 weeks. Call is required. The candidate must have experience recovering orthopedic, neuro, general, urology, dental, gynecological, and pediatric ENT cases. Traveler should have experience monitoring patients with nerve blocks, chest tube insertions, central lines, intubation, and arterial lines. Candidate must have experience with a variety of surgeries, excluding heart surgeries. Experience with pediatric patients is mandatory for ENT, dental, and orthopedic cases. A heavy volume of orthopedic, general, gynecological, neuro, and urology surgeries is performed. Nurses will need to orient to Preop Holding as Preop Holding and PACU are connected. Nurses may float between Preop and PACU when necessary. Specific experience requirements include managing postoperative care for varied surgical procedures and patient demographics. Nurses will handle patients of all ages, from pediatrics to geriatrics. A strong background in patient management is essential. Experience with narcotics, opioid analgesics, reversal agents, and patient monitoring is necessary.
