Job description

Job Title: Ultrasound Technologist – Part-Time
Location: Fort Worth, TX
Job Type: Part-Time Contract
Duration: 6 Months
Shift & Schedule: Day Shift | Tuesday & Thursday 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM | Friday 9:00 AM – 9:00 PM | 28.5 Hours/Week
Local Candidates Required: Yes
Traveler Candidates Required: Yes

Pay Rate
Local: $1,000 – $1,450/week
Traveler: $1,500 – $1,865/week

Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled Ultrasound Technologist to provide diagnostic imaging services across hospital and correctional-facility settings.

Required Qualifications

  • ARDMS or ARRT certification in Ultrasound.

  • Current BLS certification.

  • Demonstrated competency in diagnostic ultrasound examinations.

  • Strong knowledge of ultrasound procedures, anatomy, and patient positioning.

  • Ability to operate ultrasound equipment and obtain quality diagnostic images.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with the healthcare team.

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient safety.

  • Ability to maintain accurate documentation and follow established protocols.

  • Ability to work at both assigned locations in Fort Worth.

Responsibilities

  • Perform diagnostic ultrasound examinations according to physician orders and established protocols.

  • Prepare patients, verify identity and clinical information, and explain examination procedures.

  • Position patients appropriately and obtain high-quality diagnostic images and measurements.

  • Operate and maintain ultrasound equipment safely and effectively.

  • Recognize and document relevant anatomical structures and abnormalities within scope of practice.

  • Ensure images meet quality standards before completing examinations.

  • Maintain accurate patient records and imaging documentation.

  • Maintain patient privacy, dignity, and confidentiality.

  • Follow infection-control, safety, and applicable imaging policies.

  • Clean and disinfect ultrasound equipment and examination areas.

  • Communicate effectively with physicians, nurses, technologists, and other healthcare professionals.

  • Provide compassionate and professional care to patients with varying medical, physical, behavioral, or communication needs.

  • Identify and report equipment problems or concerns.

  • Follow facility policies, procedures, and applicable regulatory requirements.

  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
