Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments of clients’ mental health to identify individual needs, challenges, and goals.
• Collaborate with clients to develop tailored treatment plans that incorporate evidence-based therapeutic methods.
• Provide psychoeducation to clients and their families, helping them understand mental health issues and management strategies.
• Engage regularly with our multidisciplinary team to discuss client care strategies and improve client outcomes.
• Commit to ongoing professional development by staying updated on the latest research, therapies, and practices in mental health.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This role primarily serves a diverse client population in Buffalo, New York, including individuals dealing with anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship issues, and various other mental health challenges. You will engage with clients from different backgrounds, providing culturally competent care that recognizes and respects their unique experiences. Understanding the social determinants of health will be critical in tailoring your approach to meet the specific needs of each client.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or a related field.
• Current New York State license as a Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC).
• Strong interpersonal skills and proficiency in using technological tools for telehealth delivery.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of 2 years of experience providing mental health counseling in a clinical setting.

Compensation and Benefits
