Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) - Remote School-Based Position

Position Overview

Health Connect Counseling Solutions is seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) to join our dynamic team in Newark, New Jersey. This role is designed for professionals who are passionate about making a meaningful impact in the lives of children and families in a school setting. You will work full-time, Monday through Friday, from 9 AM to 5 PM, delivering essential mental health support and guidance to students experiencing challenges.

Work Environment

This position is fully remote, allowing flexibility and convenience while promoting a healthy work-life balance. Though you will primarily work from home, strong collaboration with school staff and mental health professionals is expected to provide seamless support and foster communication with all stakeholders involved in the students' educational journeys.

Key Responsibilities

• Engage with students and their families to conduct thorough evaluations of psychosocial needs, assessing their emotional and behavioral challenges.
• Design, implement, and monitor personalized care strategies tailored to each client’s unique circumstances, ensuring that these plans are adaptable as needed.
• Provide ongoing counseling sessions via telehealth or in-person when required, utilizing evidence-based practices to facilitate effective treatment.
• Collaborate closely with school staff, including teachers, administrators, and other mental health professionals, to support the overall well-being of students and create a positive learning environment.
• Stay informed on the latest research, trends, and best practices in mental health care to enhance service delivery and contribute to the evolution of care methodologies within the organization.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be supporting school-aged children facing emotional, social, and behavioral challenges. You will work with a diverse client population that may include students with anxiety, depression, learning disabilities, and other mental health concerns. The role requires sensitivity, empathy, and the ability to build strong, trusting relationships with both clients and their families.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work from an accredited institution is essential.
• Current licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of New Jersey is required.
• Demonstrated expertise in clinical evaluation, treatment planning, and an understanding of multi-faceted mental health issues affecting young people.

Preferred Experience

• At least 2 years of clinical experience in social work, particularly in a school or pediatric setting.
• Familiarity with telehealth platforms and virtual counseling methodologies to effectively reach clients in a remote setting.
• Strong interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary ranging from $90,000 to $110,000 annually, complemented by an excellent benefits package.
