Position Overview

Summer Spring Psychotherapy Center is actively seeking a compassionate and skilled Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) to enhance our dynamic care team. This full-time position offers the opportunity to work remotely, providing essential mental health services to a diverse client base from the comfort of your own home.

About the Organization

At Summer Spring Psychotherapy Center, located in Baltimore, Maryland, we are dedicated to improving the emotional well-being of individuals, couples, and families. Our community health clinic prides itself on delivering high-quality, evidence-based mental health services in a supportive environment. We value a holistic approach, emphasizing psychoeducation and therapeutic relationships as vital components of successful treatment.

Work Environment

This position is designed for therapists who thrive in a remote work setting while participating actively as part of a collaborative care team. Members engage in regular meetings to discuss patient care strategies, review treatment progress, and share insights on various therapeutic modalities. Our team is committed to fostering an inclusive and respectful work culture that values each member's contributions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive intake assessments to determine the psychological and emotional needs of clients and families.
  • Thoroughly document patient histories and current concerns to tailor treatment plans effectively.
  • Deliver evidence-based individual, group, and family therapy sessions, utilizing your expertise in modalities such as structural family therapy, narrative therapy, and communication strategies.
  • Develop, implement, and adjust personalized treatment plans based on client progress and feedback.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of client interactions and progress within our electronic health records system.
  • Provide patients and their families with psychoeducation regarding mental health issues and coping strategies.
  • Engage in continuous professional development and stay informed about best practices in the field.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our clients represent a diverse community, including individuals and families facing various challenges such as relationship issues, depression, anxiety, trauma, and life transitions. As a member of our therapy team, you will be expected to approach each case with cultural competency and sensitivity to individual backgrounds and experiences.

Qualifications

  • A Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a closely related field is required.
  • Must hold an active LMFT license in good standing.
  • Certification in one or more therapeutic modalities is essential.
  • At least one year of post-licensure clinical experience is preferred, although driven candidates with innovative approaches are also encouraged to apply.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, are critical for effective client interactions.
  • Bilingual candidates are strongly encouraged to apply, as this enhances our ability to serve a broader client population.

Preferred Experience

While a year of clinical experience post-licensure is preferred, candidates with experience in community health settings or those who have worked with diverse populations will find this role particularly enriching. Familiarity with telehealth tools and the ability to adapt therapeutic techniques for virtual sessions are advantageous.

Compensation and Benefits

The position offers a competitive annual salary ranging from $90,000 to $100,000, alongside a sign-on bonus intended to welcome you to our team. Comprehensive benefits include a 401(k) plan, flexible scheduling options that promote work-life balance, generous Paid Time Off (PTO), and opportunities for professional development to foster your growth as a clinician.
