Job description

Position Overview

Liberty Psychological Resilience Therapy is seeking a passionate and dedicated full-time Licensed Mental Health Counselor to join our team. In this crucial role, you will provide telehealth therapy and support to trauma injury patients, assisting them in navigating their mental and emotional challenges while developing effective coping mechanisms and treatment plans.

About the Organization

At Liberty Psychological Resilience Therapy, we are committed to delivering high-quality mental health services that empower individuals to overcome trauma and achieve resilience. Our seasoned team of professionals believes in a holistic approach, targeting the psychological impacts of trauma through personalized care and support. We recognize the significant gap in mental health services for trauma patients in the community and aim to fill this need by providing comprehensive evaluation and treatment options.

Work Environment

This position is fully remote, offering you the flexibility to conduct sessions from your own home or any location of your choice. Our telehealth platform allows counselors to connect with patients conveniently and securely, ensuring that our clients receive the care they need without geographical barriers. Standard working hours are from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct initial assessments and evaluations of patients to develop tailored treatment plans that meet their unique psychological needs.
  • Provide individual therapy sessions to trauma patients, actively listening to their concerns, diagnoses, and ongoing treatment opportunities.
  • Monitor patient progress by tracking emotional and behavioral changes, modifying treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.
  • Educate patients and their families on various coping strategies for managing stress and trauma, empowering them with the tools needed for recovery.
  • Coordinate with other healthcare providers, social services, and community organizations to facilitate comprehensive care for each patient.
  • Maintain detailed records of patient interactions and treatment progress, using electronic medical records (EMR) systems efficiently.
  • Engage in continuous education and training to retain your National Certified Counselor certification and stay informed on the latest therapeutic practices.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily work with individuals affected by trauma injuries, which may include emotional or psychological distress stemming from accidents, abuse, or other distressing events. Your understanding of trauma-informed care will enhance the healing journey of these patients and help them regain control over their lives.

Qualifications

  • A Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling or a closely related field.
  • Current and valid Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) credentials.
  • Minimum of three years of experience working directly with trauma patients, demonstrating a solid grasp of evidence-based treatment methodologies.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills to ensure effective interaction with patients and the multidisciplinary team.

Preferred Experience

  • Experience working with Salesforce and electronic medical record (EMR) systems will be a considerable advantage.
  • Background in providing telehealth services is a plus, as you will be working in a remote setting.
  • Familiarity with trauma-focused therapeutic techniques, such as EMDR or cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT).

Compensation and Benefits

The salary for this position ranges between USD 80,000 and 100,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications. In addition to a competitive salary, we offer a range of benefits designed to promote your overall well-being, including:

  • Employee assistance program providing confidential support and counseling services.
  • Health and wellness initiatives, including wellness programs that provide resources for maintaining a healthy lifestyle.
  • Health savings accounts (HSAs) or flexible spending accounts (FSAs) to assist with healthcare costs.
  • Incentives aimed at encouraging healthy habits and proactive healthcare.

Career Growth Opportunities

As part of our team, you will have access to ongoing training and professional development opportunities that allow you to sharpen your skills and advance your career within the field of mental health counseling. Liberty Psychological Resilience Therapy values continuous learning and promotes from within whenever possible.
