This full-time remote position offers a unique opportunity to support and guide individuals facing mental health challenges and relationship issues. As part of our commitment to holistic wellness, you will play a pivotal role in helping our clients navigate their paths toward healthier lives while achieving their personal goals.

About the Organization

At Mindful Therapy & Wellness, we pride ourselves on being a fearless and compassionate provider of mental health services. Our mission is to improve the overall well-being of people struggling with mental health and substance use disorders as well as families, children, and older adults. We firmly believe in creating a culturally competent environment where diversity, equity, and inclusion are at the forefront of our practice. Our emphasis on community-based behavioral treatment aims to ensure that every individual has access to high-quality, whole-person care.

Work Environment

This role offers the flexibility of a fully remote working arrangement, allowing you to connect with clients from the comfort of your own setting while still engaging in meaningful therapeutic relationships. Although the position is remote, you will collaborate closely with a diverse interprofessional healthcare team committed to personal and patient-centered care. Regular virtual meetings ensure you remain integrated into the organization’s goals, policies, and collaborative efforts to support those in need.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide crisis intervention counseling and therapeutic support tailored to individual client needs, utilizing comprehensive assessments of emotional and behavioral issues.
  • Maintain diligent and precise clinical documentation, including progress notes, treatment plans, and assessments, to comply with organizational policies and state regulations.
  • Engage in collaborative care by developing treatment plans with the healthcare team, ensuring that discharge plans are in alignment with psychosocial assessments and best practices in social work interventions.
  • Establish and cultivate working relationships with leaders in community resource groups, actively representing Mindful Therapy & Wellness in meetings and committees that seek to address and enhance the social determinants of health for our patients.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your practice will encompass a diverse client base, including adults, children, and families facing various challenges. This role emphasizes understanding the unique cultural and social factors influencing mental health and behavior. By applying your expertise to provide support and interventions, you will directly contribute to improving client outcomes through effective treatment planning and community collaboration.

Qualifications

  • A Master’s Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy (LMFT) is a prerequisite for this position.
  • An active, unrestricted license as a Marriage and Family Therapist in California is required.
  • Three (3) years of clinical experience specifically in therapy, crisis counseling, and working with families is highly desired.
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills, strong organizational capabilities, and analytical thinking are essential for effective practice.
  • Demonstrated ability to adhere to established policies and promptly make sound clinical decisions.

Preferred Experience

Prior experience in an outpatient setting with a focus on high-intensity interventions and community-based treatment is preferred. Familiarity with electronic health record systems and telehealth platforms would enhance your effectiveness in this remote role.

Compensation and Benefits

Mindful Therapy & Wellness offers a competitive salary range between $120,000 and $130,000 annually, which reflects your experience and expertise in the field. In addition, we provide a comprehensive benefits package that includes:

  • 401(k) matching to support your retirement planning.
  • Dental and health insurance to keep you and your family healthy.
  • Disability and life insurance to ensure financial security.
