Position Overview

Brilliant Minds Psychosocial Center is seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LPCC) to join our innovative telehealth team. This full-time, remote position allows you to leverage your clinical expertise to provide exceptional mental health care through a user-friendly online therapy platform. You will have the unique opportunity to shape your practice by controlling your schedule, patient load, and the demographics of the individuals you serve.

About the Organization

At Brilliant Minds Psychosocial Center, our mission is to promote mental wellness and empower individuals through personalized care. We are a leading provider of online mental health services, creating a supportive and client-focused environment that fosters healing and personal growth. Our team consists of passionate professionals who are committed to providing thoughtful, evidence-based counseling while ensuring our clients feel safe, respected, and supported in their mental health journeys.

Work Environment

This remote position offers the flexibility of working from the comfort of your chosen environment, reducing commute time and increasing your capacity to maintain a healthy work-life balance. You will connect with clients through our all-in-one digital platform, which facilitates varied communication methods including video calls, audio messaging, online journals, and therapeutic goal-setting tools. Our supportive work culture encourages collaboration with over 10,000 fellow therapists, which enriches your professional experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide effective, client-centered counseling to low acuity adults dealing with issues like anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, ADHD, OCD, and grief.
  • Utilize the telehealth platform to engage in therapeutic conversations, offering assessments, interventions, and evidence-based practices.
  • Maintain detailed documentation of sessions, treatment plans, and progress notes in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
  • Participate in ongoing peer consultations and contribute to a collaborative clinical environment where knowledge sharing is encouraged.
  • Customize treatment modalities that best fit the client's needs using tools available on our platform for tracking progress and engagement.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your role will involve connecting with a diverse adult clientele who are experiencing mild to moderate mental health challenges. We carefully screen clients to ensure that only those who are stable and motivated for therapy are referred, creating a manageable and supportive environment for both counselors and clients. Clients typically seek help for mental health concerns such as anxiety disorders, depression, and coping strategies for life transitions or emotional distress.

Qualifications

  • A Master's Degree or Doctorate in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, Psychology, or a closely related field.
  • Current and unrestricted LPCC license with no disciplinary actions.
  • Reliable high-speed internet connection to facilitate seamless remote therapy sessions.
  • A working computer (desktop or laptop; tablets are not supported) equipped with necessary software for teletherapy.

Preferred Experience

  • Experience in teletherapy or virtual counseling settings is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Familiarity with evidence-based therapeutic practices and a commitment to ongoing education and professional development.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively engage with clients and document therapy sessions.

Compensation and Benefits

The annual salary for this role ranges from $52,000 to $70,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications. In addition to financial compensation, we offer a variety of benefits that contribute to your professional development and overall wellbeing:

  • Flexible work schedule to help you effectively manage your personal and professional life.
  • Collaborative work environment with access to supervisions and peer consultations to enhance your clinical skills.
  • Administrative support for scheduling, billing, and insurance tasks, allowing you to focus on client care.
  • Continuing education reimbursement to encourage and support your professional growth.
  • Personalized marketing support, including a tailored website and profile that highlights your expertise and availability.

Career Growth Opportunities

At Brilliant Minds, we are committed to fostering the professional growth of our counselors. Aside from opportunities to participate in peer supervision and workshops, counselors will have pathways to take on leadership roles, contribute to training initiatives, and engage in specialized programs that align with your interests and expertise.
