This individual will translate complex technical work into measurable outcomes, develop meaningful performance metrics, and create executive-ready presentations that demonstrate the team's accomplishments and business value. The role requires someone who can operate effectively in a dynamic environment, influence without direct decision-making authority, and bring structure, accountability, and clarity to evolving processes.
Responsibilities
- Establish foundational program governance, PMO processes, and reporting practices for a technical engineering team.
- Partner with developers and technical stakeholders to understand, document, and communicate ongoing, completed, and planned initiatives.
- Develop and maintain visibility into resource allocations, team capacity, work assignments, dependencies, progress, and expected completion timelines.
- Organize program plans, workstreams, milestones, status reports, and supporting documentation to improve operational transparency.
- Translate technical discussions and complex engineering activities into clear, actionable information for business and leadership stakeholders.
- Collaborate with technical leadership to operationalize program priorities, document decisions, track action items, and maintain alignment across initiatives.
- Establish meaningful KPIs, success metrics, and reporting frameworks to measure team performance, delivery outcomes, and business impact.
- Develop presentations, dashboards, and executive-ready materials that communicate team accomplishments, demonstrate value, and support stakeholder engagement.
- Build productive relationships with strong-willed stakeholders and technical teams while navigating ambiguity, differing perspectives, and changing priorities.
- Create repeatable program administration practices that improve consistency, documentation quality, and long-term operational effectiveness.
Required Skills
- Program Management: Demonstrated experience in program management, PMO operations, or program administration within complex technical environments.
- PMO Development: Experience establishing, formalizing, or improving program management processes in organizations with immature, evolving, or limited governance structures.
- Technical Fluency: Ability to understand technical discussions, engage confidently with software developers and engineering teams, and document technical work accurately.
- Metrics and Reporting: Ability to define KPIs, develop success metrics, establish reporting frameworks, and translate operational activity into measurable outcomes.
- Executive Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to develop presentations, status reports, and materials for leadership and business stakeholders.
- Stakeholder Management: Ability to influence without direct authority, manage challenging stakeholder relationships, maintain composure under pressure, and communicate effectively across technical and business audiences.
- Leadership Presence: Strong interpersonal skills, positive energy, professionalism, and the ability to build trust and encourage collaboration across technical teams.
- Preferred Experience: Familiarity with network data, telecommunications, data engineering, software development, or other technically complex engineering domains.
