Meat clerk must possess full knowledge of all meat items, including location. Clerk will serve customers by weighing, wrapping, pricing, and labeling desired meat products. The clerk will also stock shelves and maintain a clean work area. Clerk is responsible for setting an example in providing attentive and courteous customer service.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESProvide remarkable customer service at all timesAdhere to company policy through proper processing, preparation, and packaging of productFollow all Federal, State, and Local regulations as well as company policies regarding Meat operations, safety, and sanitationEnsure proper temperatures are maintained in cooler, prep area, freezer, and cases and are in working conditionIdentify all cuts of meatMaintain adequate meat suppliesMaintain proper case conditions, including cleaning, stocking, straightening, and rotating productFollow direction of Meat Manager and Manager on Duty, inform appropriate people if problems ariseMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSMust be at least 18 years of age Minors may work in a stocking capacity only on the sales floor.
