We are seeking an experienced Human Resources Manager to lead day-to-day HR operations at a Gainesville, FL location. The ideal candidate brings strong expertise in employee relations, employment law, talent acquisition, payroll, benefits administration, and HR compliance, along with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

What You'll Do

• HR Operations: Oversee daily HR functions, including recruitment, onboarding, payroll, benefits, leave administration, performance management, and offboarding.
• Employee Relations: Serve as a trusted resource for employees and leadership, managing workplace investigations, conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, and sensitive employee matters.
• Compliance & Risk Management: Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws, including FMLA, ADA, EEO, and wage and hour regulations.
• Talent Acquisition & Development: Partner with leadership to identify staffing needs, recruit qualified talent, improve retention, and support employee development.
• HRIS & Reporting: Maintain accurate employee records, manage HRIS data integrity, conduct audits, and support HR reporting.
• Benefits & Leave Administration: Coordinate employee benefits, leave requests, and workers' compensation claims.
• Strategic HR Partnership: Collaborate with leadership to strengthen employee engagement, improve HR processes, and align people strategies with business objectives.

What We're Looking For

• 7+ years of progressive Human Resources experience, including HR management or leadership experience, preferred.
• Strong knowledge of federal and Florida employment laws and HR compliance requirements.
• Proven experience managing employee relations, workplace investigations, performance management, and conflict resolution.
• Hands-on experience with payroll, benefits, leave administration, recruitment, and HRIS systems.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to handle confidential matters with professionalism, discretion, and sound judgment.
• Experience independently managing HR operations while partnering with organizational leadership.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR certification.
• Previous HR experience in manufacturing, aerospace, or defense environments.
