Job Title: RN Profession: Nursing Specialty: Nephrology Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Nights Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years preferred License: RN License Certifications: BLS (must be AHA) Must-Have Skills/Experience: - Med/Surg experience - Preferred Skillset/Experience: Charge Nurse preferred but not required - Nephrology experience preferred but not required Description: This position is for a nursing role in a nephrology unit. The facility operates as a level III trauma center with various healthcare services. The total bed count is 198, catering to a diverse patient population. The nursing staff provides care primarily for geriatric and adult patients. Common diagnoses include End-Stage Renal Disease (ESRD), Peritoneal Dialysis, and Hemodialysis. Patient-to-nurse ratios are maintained between 1:4 and 1:6. Key equipment used includes vital signs machines, bladder scanners, lifts, thermal imaging, and IV pumps/tubes. Electronic Health Records (EHR) system utilized is Cerner. This role includes opportunities for professional growth within a supportive team environment. All staff are expected to work at least 2 weekend shifts per month. Observation unit experience is a plus but not mandatory. A commitment to high-quality patient care and teamwork is essential.
