About the Company
The Company is a worldwide environmental technology business with more than a century of combined domain expertise. It delivers measurement and instrumentation, safety equipment, automation, and software to customers in over 100 countries across energy production and storage, chemicals and pharmaceuticals, water and wastewater, aviation fuel, aerospace and defense, food and beverage, and other regulated, high-stakes end markets.
About the Role
The Marketing Specialist owns the plan, the follow-through, and the results of our outbound marketing engine. You work with our AI content platform and with every Product Director and Product Specialist so each product owner meets the outbound standard on time: one customer webinar a quarter, four social posts a month, and a use case and a white paper every month. You do not write everything yourself; AI drafts and the product leaders add their expertise, while you own the content calendar, campaigns, trade shows, the website and digital channels, and the leads that flow from them to the right Regional Sales / Business Manager.
This is a hands-on, technical, individual contributor role. Our trade shows are digital, built on LED panels and video, so you will learn, set up, and run the show technology yourself, manage all demo and trade show equipment worldwide, and build the processes and checklists that let any team run a show the same way. You also build relationships with trade press and industry associations and help the EVP of Sales manage the marketing budget so every dollar goes where it generates pipeline.
Position Responsibilities
Outbound Cadence and Campaigns
- Build and run the quarterly content calendar so every product owner's webinars, social posts, use cases, and white papers are planned, drafted, and published on time.
- Brief the AI content platform, chase product leaders for source material and accuracy reviews, and move approved pieces through brand review to publication.
- Run webinar logistics, email campaigns, and newsletters, and coordinate product launches with the Product Directors.
- Report monthly on cadence kept by product owner and flag gaps to the EVP of Sales.
Trade Shows, End to End
- Own the global trade show calendar with the Sales and Product Directors: choose the shows, book space, and plan each one.
- Run pre-show outreach and meeting booking with the Regional Sales / Business Managers, and prepare booth content, talking points, and demos with the product leaders.
- Run the show itself, including the digital booth, demo equipment, staffing schedule, and lead capture.
- Follow up after every show so each lead is in the CRM and with its owner within one business day, and report cost, meetings, and pipeline per show.
Show Technology, Equipment, and Process
- Learn, set up, and run our digital show technology: LED panels, displays, video players, and the computers that drive them, converting content to the right formats, resolutions, and aspect ratios.
- Manage all demo and trade show equipment worldwide, including inventory, condition, shipping, customs, setup, teardown, and return, working hands-on with heavy crates, panels, and rigging alongside venue crews.
- Build and self-manage repeatable checklists for every show, demo kit, and campaign, and fix the process after each event so the same mistake never happens twice.
- Keep processes simple enough to hand to any regional team, and train those teams to set up and run shows themselves.
Press, Trade Media, and Associations
- Build and keep relationships with trade press, magazines, editors, and industry associations in our markets.
- Place articles, white papers, case studies, and news from our product leaders, and track editorial calendars and speaking opportunities.
- Maintain the media and association contact list and run the press release process.
Marketing Budget
- Help the EVP of Sales build the annual marketing budget across trade shows, advertising, digital, equipment, and agencies.
- Track spend against budget monthly and recommend where to invest more or cut, based on cost per lead and pipeline generated.
Website, Leads, and Sales Enablement
- Keep the website, product pages, and digital channels current and on brand, working with the design team and web agency.
- Capture every lead from webinars, gated papers, events, and the website in the CRM, qualify it quickly, and route it to the right Regional Sales / Business Manager or Channel Manager.
- Keep sales decks, collateral, datasheets, and training materials organized and easy for the sales team and distributors to find, and support the Channel Manager with distributor marketing kits.
- Apply house style and brand rules to everything that goes out, and confirm every piece has passed the product leader's accuracy check.
How We Measure Success
In your first year, great performance looks like this:
- Cadence kept: Every product owner meets the outbound standard on schedule, tracked monthly.
- Lead flow: Leads from campaigns, events, and the website reach the right owner in the CRM within one business day.
- Pipeline influence: Marketing-sourced and marketing-influenced pipeline grows quarter over quarter.
- Show readiness: Every show's equipment is tracked, arrives, works, and is set up on time, with no repeat issues from earlier shows.
- Earned media: Articles, papers, and news placed in the trade publications that matter to our customers.
- Budget discipline: Marketing spend stays within budget, and cost per qualified lead improves year over year.
- Partner relationships: Product leaders, sales managers, and regional teams see you as the person who gets marketing done, and editors and associations know who to call.
