Cooking Tech 1The Cooking Tech 1 position performs the cooking of various meat products under the supervision and direction of the Pit Supervisor.Essential FunctionsReasonable accommodations may be provided to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.Performs the loading of raw meat product onto racks located inside the pitsPerforms the unloading of cooked meat product out of the pits and onto racksIdentifies products and distinguishes between speciesPerforms the cleaning/washing down of a pitAssembles and disassembles the racks inside the pitsPerforms daily inspection of the bushings, pins and washers on the racksTransports racks full of meat from pits to the scale, and then to the chill cellMust be able to stand between 2 – 3 hours at a timeMust be willing to follow all GMPs (Good Manufacturing Practices) of the company which include but are not limited to: use of a hair net, use of gloves, use of a company approved frock and rubber boots, no jewelry, no nail polish or artificial nails, no shorts, no open-toed shoes, no ripped clothing or rhinestones/glitter on clothing, no chewing gum, candy or tobacco.Other DutiesPlease note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job. The employee is also exposed to high levels of smoke produced by the burning wood.
