Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Interventional Radiology Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 10 Experience: 2 years of experience required; first-time travelers accepted with strong experience in Interventional Radiology and ICU. License: Active RN license required. Certifications: BLS, ACLS required; NIH and CPI preferred. Must-Have: Strong experience in Interventional Radiology and ICU; comfortable with floating within the specialty as needed. Description: The Registered Nurse will work in a high-volume, fast-paced Interventional Radiology setting. The average daily case volume is 18. Patient age range includes adolescents to geriatrics. The unit has 5 rooms and 10 beds. On-call shifts are required, approximately 5 shifts per 8-week schedule, including weeknights, weekends, and holidays as scheduled based on department needs. Mandatory participation in holiday shifts as scheduled. The role involves various skills including but not limited to: End-Tidal CO2 monitoring Assisting with central line insertion and management Monitoring procedural sedation Blood product administration IV infusion pump management Management of anticoagulants and thrombolytics Performing special procedures in Interventional Radiology Interpretation and management of dysrhythmias Maintaining infection prevention protocols Care and maintenance of implanted ports The RN will be required to float within the specialty as needed without restrictions or special requests. Compliance with required certifications and ongoing professional development is expected. The unit supports an interdisciplinary team, including interpretation services, lift teams, and rapid response teams. Flexibility in scheduling and responsiveness to departmental needs is essential.
