Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Behavioral Health Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Mid and Night Hours per Shift: 8 hours Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience required License: Valid nursing license required Certifications: BCLS, CPI preferred Must-Have: Experience with neuropsych population preferred Description: This position is for an adolescent neuropsychiatry unit. The unit primarily serves patients with autism and other developmental disabilities. Applicants with experience in high acuity settings are preferred. The role may require acting as charge nurse during shifts without additional pay. RNs will be expected to float within their scope to meet facility needs. The patient ratio is typically 6:1 across various shifts. Weekend work is required every other weekend. Familiarity with electronic medical record systems is preferred. The average length of stay for patients is between 2 weeks to 2 years. All candidates must successfully pass a drug screening prior to onboarding. Please note that this position may involve working with both verbal and non-verbal patients. Candidates should submit requests for time off during the application process. This health system has strict policies regarding drug testing and compliance. Candidates must complete fingerprinting in the state where the position is located prior to starting.
