Morganfield Nursing & Rehabilitation is seeking an experienced, motivated, and resident-focused Director of Nursing (DON) to lead our nursing team and support the delivery of exceptional resident care.

This is an exciting leadership opportunity at a 5-star-rated facility with a history of deficiency-free surveys. Our 60-bed building offers an opportunity for a hands-on nursing leader to make a meaningful impact, strengthen clinical operations, support staff development, and maintain our commitment to quality care.

With interim administrative leadership currently in place, we are looking for a strong Director of Nursing to partner with facility leadership and help guide the building into its next chapter of success.

What You’ll Do

• Provide leadership, direction, and oversight to all nursing services.

• Ensure high standards of resident care, safety, and clinical outcomes.

• Maintain regulatory compliance and readiness for state surveys.

• Lead, mentor, and develop nursing staff while promoting accountability and teamwork.

• Oversee care planning, clinical documentation, infection prevention, and quality assurance initiatives.

• Collaborate with the Administrator and interdisciplinary team to improve resident satisfaction and operational performance.

• Support staffing effectiveness, employee engagement, and retention.

• Maintain the facility’s strong reputation for quality and regulatory compliance.

What We’re Looking For

• Current, active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Kentucky.

• Previous nursing leadership experience in long-term care or skilled nursing preferred.

• Strong clinical judgment, organizational skills, and communication abilities.

• Knowledge of state and federal long-term care regulations.

• A hands-on leader who can motivate a team, solve problems, and promote a positive workplace culture.

• A genuine commitment to resident-centered care.
