Job description

Sniffen & Harmon, P.A. is a top-rated law firm that delivers strategic counsel and vigorous representation to employers in high-stakes litigation and day-to-day advisory matters. Our attorneys handle a diverse portfolio spanning education law, employment disputes, civil rights, business and property litigation, insurance defense, and commercial matters. We offer legal professionals the opportunity to contribute meaningfully, tackle complex challenges, and grow within a collaborative, fast-moving practice. Role Description We are seeking a resourceful, driven Paralegal to join our Tallahassee office in a full-time, on-site role. You will work closely with attorneys in our education law and employment litigation practices, taking an active role in moving matters forward—from investigation and discovery through hearings, depositions, and trial preparation. This position is ideal for a proactive professional who thrives on variety, anticipates needs, and brings clarity and momentum to demanding casework. Required Skills A strong legal foundation and genuine interest in labor and employment, education law, civil rights, or related practice areas. The ability to produce polished, accurate legal documents, including pleadings, motions, correspondence, and discovery materials. Confident written and verbal communication, paired with a professional, service-oriented approach to clients and colleagues. Sharp legal and factual research skills, including proficiency with online databases and the ability to uncover details that strengthen case strategy. Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to transform complex case materials into clear, organized summaries and work product. A paralegal certificate or degree, or comparable hands-on experience in a law firm environment. The organization, judgment, and initiative to manage multiple matters, shifting priorities, and critical deadlines. Fluency with legal practice software, document-management tools, and standard office applications. A collaborative mindset, sound discretion, and the confidence to take ownership of assignments while supporting the team. Benefits include employer supplemented health insurance, dental insurance, and paid time off. Pay will be commensurate with experience. #J-18808-Ljbffr
