• Provide emergency medicine coverage at regional hospitals in the Northwoods of Wisconsin
\n
\n
• Mostly single coverage with some shift overlap
\n
\n
• Double coverage available with two APCs
\n
\n
• Admission rate is approximately 20%
\n
\n
• Over 20 shifts per month available with flexible scheduling for locum providers
\n
\n
• Patient encounters per shift: 17-23
\n
\n
• Two smaller critical access hospitals located within thirty minutes
\n
\n
• Board certification required; minimum certification level: certified
\n
\n
• Required certifications: ACLS, ATLS, BLS, PALS
\n
\n
• Trauma Level 4 facility
\n
\n
• 24-hour support services available include: Anesthesia, General Surgery, Laboratory, OR, Orthopedic Surgery, and Radiology
\n
\n
• L&D department on site; newborn deliveries are not received in the ED
\n
\n
• Local and Midwest-based providers strongly preferred
\n
\n
\n
