Wire EDM Operator at Synerfac Technical Staffing - irwin, Pennsylvania

Our client in Irwin PA is seeking a 1st shift Wire EDM operator to join the team.

Hours will be from 6am
- 230PM M-F Duties: Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Gain proficiency in operating hole pop machines.
- Adjust and align wire as needed.
- Analyze and comprehend technical drawings.
- Conduct visual inspections of incoming parts prior to wire EDM processing.
- Generate job files, examine run sheets, and geometry files.
- Prepare parts for machine operation by indicating, picking up, and positioning them.
- Execute machine operations efficiently.
- Conduct in-process inspections during the execution of work orders.
- Perform final inspections of parts once completed on the wire machine.
- Undertake machine maintenance, including routine upkeep and cleaning.
- Ensure cleanliness in the Wire EDM area by wiping tables and machines, and sweeping and mopping floors.
Requirements: -Minimum of a high school diploma or its equivalent.
-At least one year of experience in a manufacturing environment.
-Preference for candidates with experience in Wire EDM.
-A technical school certificate in machine trades is desirable.
-Alternatively, a combination of education and experience that meets the requirements.
-Proficiency in operating and interpreting results from measuring tools, gages, and visual standards.
-Capability to perform minor tooling changes, set up, and troubleshoot production equipment.
-Ability to read and interpret technical prints and drawings.
-Responsibility for maintaining product and process quality standards.
-Strong math and mechanical skills.
-Willingness to learn and enhance the manufacturing process.
