Specialty Operator 1 (5118) - 3rd shift$24.90 - $26.55 depending on hire date plus shift differential**RESUME REQUIRED**Nature & ScopeThis person will be responsible for plating activities to include operating the plater to plate parts, making quality inspections, and performing tank and preventive maintenance on the plating machine and related equipment. An operator position requires a person who can effectively support a Lean manufacturing and team-based production facility through continuous improvement efforts. They will learn and then apply the tools of Lean, Shop Floor Management, Masco Operating System, and core values of People, Credibility, High Performance Teams, Customer Service and Continuous Improvement – Innovation. A person must be able to perform each essential duty well (accurately, organized, and timely), be customer focused, have a positive attitude, and willing to work overtime. The person should have a desire for continual improvement in themselves and their business processes.Essential Duties / Tasks (including but not limited to):Start up and shut down plating machine.Operate plater to produce parts.Make chemical adds and coordinate with chemical laboratory andAdhere to the TruChem maintenance schedule.Perform plating tank maintenance.Perform preventive maintenance on machines and equipment.Work in confined spaces at timesWork at above ground elevationsClimb stairs frequently.Report-out technical informationWater Spider and rack / un-rack parts when necessaryPerform parts inspection.Work safely while performing job duties.Make hazard observations, observe unsafe actions, and report both using Delta Faucet's procedures.Perform housekeeping duties consistent with 5S and visual workplace standards.Accept / Reject parts to DS-500 specifications.Perform ERGO stretches.Education, Experience, and Skills:HS degree or HS equivalency diploma is recommended.Prior plating experience is desired.Problem solving and trouble shooting skills.Willing to work necessary overtime.Lift up to 40 lbs.Certified in confined spaces, fall protection and other required safety training or willing to achieve certification in all training.Ability to work independently and with limited supervision.May require forklift (PIV) certification.Acceptable disciplinary performance – Employees who have received a written warning (first or second) are not eligible for promotions or transfers for a minimum of six months after receiving that warning.Acceptable attendance performance - Employees who have six or more points are not eligible for promotions or transfers.A human performance evaluation or HPE is an evaluation of a person's physical ability to do a job.
