Sr Java Developer, Azure

Salary: $114,400 - 135,200 per year

Requirements:

• Experienced Java/J2EE Spring developer with strong Azure Cloud expertise and hands-on experience supporting applications in cloud and on-premises environments.
• Proficiency with Java 8/11/17+, J2EE, Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Security, Spring Data JPA/Hibernate, RESTful APIs, and microservices.
• Experience developing scalable, high-performance backend services and integrating applications with databases, third-party systems, and cloud services.
• Ability to use AI tools for fast-paced development, integrate AI agents into applications, and create agents that improve productivity.
• Experience designing and deploying cloud-native applications on Microsoft Azure, including Azure App Services, AKS, Azure Functions, Storage Accounts, Key Vault, Azure Monitor, and Application Insights.
• Knowledge of secure authentication and authorization using Azure Active Directory (AAD).
• Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions, Git, and Azure DevOps.
• Unix/Linux server administration skills, including shell commands, log analysis, troubleshooting, and Shell Script/Bash automation.
• Experience developing and optimizing SQL queries, stored procedures, and database integrations with Oracle or PostgreSQL.
• Docker, Kubernetes (AKS), ACA, or NoSQL database experience (such as MongoDB or Couchbase) is a plus.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, test, and maintain enterprise-grade applications using Java technologies.
• Build scalable backend services and integrate applications with databases, third-party systems, and cloud services.
• Perform unit testing, code reviews, and application performance tuning.
• Develop and integrate AI agents into new and existing applications to improve productivity.
• Design and deploy cloud-native applications on Azure.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines and automate build, deployment, testing, and release processes.
• Monitor deployments, troubleshoot production issues, and collaborate with development, QA, and infrastructure teams to support smooth releases.
• Support and administer applications on Unix/Linux servers, including deployments, maintenance, log analysis, and system troubleshooting.
• Manage file systems, permissions, processes, and scheduled jobs, and automate tasks with shell scripts.
• Support applications running on on-premises servers and in hybrid cloud environments.
• Develop and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, and database integrations.
