Senior Case Consultant- Investigator

Rutter Mills LLP, a leading personal injury law firm in Hampton Roads, is seeking a dependable, detail-oriented, and client-focused Investigator to join our Front End Department.

Schedule: Full-time Monday through Friday 8:30am - 5:00pm

Location: On-site in Hampton, VA. Must be willing to train at our Norfolk, VA location.

About the Role:

Our Investigations team plays an important role in evaluating personal injury cases, gathering evidence, and supporting current and potential clients.

This position combines investigative fieldwork, client communication, and case management. Investigators work closely with attorneys, Case Consultants, and leadership to investigate accidents, gather information, and assist potential clients with the sign-up process.

We are seeking someone who is personable, resourceful, organized, comfortable with technology, and committed to providing exceptional client service.

Key Responsibilities

• Investigate motor vehicle accidents and other personal injury matters, including visiting accident scenes, gathering evidence, and locating camera footage.
• Communicate with current and potential clients through phone calls, texts, emails, and in-person meetings, including off-site visits to gather information and assist with the sign-up process.
• Conduct timely client follow-ups, document investigation findings, and maintain accurate case records using the firm's case management system.
• Work closely with attorneys, leadership, and team members to communicate case updates and ensure timely follow-through.
• Manage multiple investigations and changing priorities with flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Qualifications

• Previous law enforcement experience strongly preferred, particularly in accident investigations and case management.
• Strong investigative, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with an empathetic, client-focused approach.
• Strong computer skills and the ability to learn new technology, including case management software, Outlook, and Zoom.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Reliable transportation and willingness to travel locally required.
• Sales or client relationship experience preferred.
• Bilingual a plus!
