Job description

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Senior Full Stack Developer to support the development, modernization, and enhancement of mission-critical collaboration platforms in Annapolis Junction, MD. The Senior Full Stack Developer will design and develop secure web applications using JavaScript, TypeScript, Linux, and open-source technologies while contributing to system architecture, DevOps automation, and Agile development initiatives. This position is hybrid in Annapolis Junction, MD, and requires an active TS/SCI clearance with CI Polygraph!

Responsibilities of the Senior Full Stack Developer:

  • Design, develop, test, and maintain secure, scalable web applications and collaboration platforms
  • Develop frontend and backend solutions using JavaScript, TypeScript, PHP, and modern web technologies
  • Support Drupal-based applications and open-source development frameworks
  • Collaborate with stakeholders and end users to gather requirements and implement technical solutions
  • Participate in software architecture, system design, and application modernization initiatives
  • Develop and optimize database integrations using PostgreSQL and other relational databases
  • Improve CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and DevOps processes
  • Support application deployments, system enhancements, and production troubleshooting in Linux environments
  • Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams in Agile/Scrum environments
  • Mentor junior developers, conduct code reviews, and promote software development best practices

Qualifications for the Senior Full Stack Developer:

  • Active TS/SCI clearance with CI Polygraph
  • 10+ years of software development, full stack engineering, or systems engineering experience
  • Strong experience with JavaScript and/or TypeScript frontend development
  • Experience designing and developing secure web applications in Linux environments
  • Experience with PostgreSQL or other relational database technologies
  • Familiarity with Git, version control workflows, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps practices
  • Experience working within Agile/Scrum software development teams
  • Strong understanding of software architecture, application security, and modern development practices
  • Excellent communication, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience developing and maintaining PHP and Drupal applications
  • Experience with modern frontend frameworks such as React, Angular, or
  • Experience with NoSQL databases, particularly Elasticsearch
  • Knowledge of accessibility standards, responsive design, and user experience (UX) principles
  • Experience with Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) practices
  • Experience implementing automated testing and deployment pipelines
  • Strong technical documentation, writing, and presentation skills

Compensation for the Senior Full Stack Developer includes:

  • Salary: $170,000 - $210,000
  • Comprehensive Benefits Package including Medical, Dental, Vision, 401(k), PTO, and Paid Holidays
