The Opportunity

The Adobe Express and Engineering Platform organization is dedicated to building innovative products, accelerating release cycles, and ensuring reliability at scale. We are seeking a Director of Engineering to lead multiple teams responsible for our core engineering infrastructure, including Developer Tools, Observability, Delivery Pipelines, Engineering Environments, Automation Frameworks, and End-to-End Customer Journey Testing.

This role requires a proven technology leader who can balance technical depth with discernment, articulating both a clear near-term action plan and a compelling long-term vision. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in advancing DevOps and SRE practices to drive engineering productivity, while strategically demonstrating AI to unlock efficiencies and innovation across the organization.

What You’ll Do

• Provide strategic direction and execution for Production delivery, Developer Tools, Observability and associated engineering environments.
• Embed AI into every facet of the engineering lifecycle, from internal solutions to vendor integrations to elevate efficiency and customer experience.
• Scale platforms to support millions of users and dozens of tenants, ensuring performance and reliability at enterprise scale.
• Lead and grow a distributed engineering organization of 50+ professionals.
• Define and implement the strategy for building a self-service, enterprise-scale reliability platform.
• Foster a culture of collaboration, experimentation, and rapid iteration across product, engineering, and marketing teams, enabling fast prototyping and innovation with a “fail forward” approach.
• Establish and enforce standards around frameworks, technologies, and processes to ensure consistency and simplicity across services
• Define, measure, and continuously improve engineering productivity by setting benchmark critical metrics and SLAs, demonstrating data-driven insights for optimization.

What You’ll Need to Succeed

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several geographic markets, and we pay differently based on those defined markets. The pay range for this position is $179,300 $354,600 annually. Pay within this range varies by work location and may also depend on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for the job location during the hiring process.

At Adobe, for sales roles starting salaries are expressed as total target compensation (TTC = base + commission), and short-term incentives are in the form of sales commission plans. Non-sales roles starting salaries are expressed as base salary and short-term incentives are in the form of the Annual Incentive Plan (AIP).

In addition, certain roles may be eligible for long-term incentives in the form of a new hire equity award.
