Job Summary

The Clinical Simulation Technician, under supervision, assists with clinical simulation training activities.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Assists in the recruiting, training, evaluation, and implementation of the Standardized Patient program including the preparation of moulage, setting up furniture and equipment, and the implementation of scenarios.
• Assists Standardized Patients and students during simulated encounters to ensure smooth flow of sessions.
• Assists in the maintenance and utilization of simulation equipment such as partial task trainers and human patient simulators for simulated clinical scenarios.
• Assists with utilization of digital video recording systems to capture clinical simulation scenarios.
• Assists with Community Outreach projects.
• Assists with stocking and replenishing of supplies and maintenance of storage areas.

Minimum Requirements

• Education – High school diploma.
• Experience - One year of related experience in simulation or health.

Knowledge and Abilities

Ability to:

• Multitask and work cooperatively with others.
• Utilize and maintain simulation equipment.
• Utilize digital audio video recording equipment.
• Perform all tasks and job responsibilities safely without injury to self and others in compliance with A&M System and HSC guidelines.

Licensing / Professional Certification – None.

Supervision of Others

• This position generally does not supervise employees.

Other Requirements

• Occasional evening and weekend work may be required.

Salary: $18.00/hourly
