Emergency Department Coding Specialist

A company is looking for an Emergency Department with I / I Facility Coding Specialist.

Key Responsibilities

Provide CPT, HCPCS, and ICD-10-CM coding for various specialties

Calculate Facility E / M levels and code injections and infusions during Emergency Department encounters

Ensure compliance with coding guidelines and maintain ethical standards in coding practices

Required Qualifications

Certification through AAPC (CPC or COC) or AHIMA (CCS or CCS-P) is mandatory

Minimum of 6 months of on-the-job coding experience is required

Proficiency in EMR and billing systems, along with Microsoft Excel and Outlook

Ability to maintain a productivity level and accuracy rate of 95% or higher

Must have a reliable phone, internet connection, and current coding materials
