At Windham Hospital, we have proudly served our community for more than 75 years. Our team operates high-tech equipment and offers compassionate care to meet the healthcare needs of the people in Northeastern Connecticut. On the Shea unit, you will be part of a collaborative, multidisciplinary care team that provides quality healthcare in a 30-bed medical-surgical and telemetry unit, along with additional beds for step-down / PCU and orthopedic patients.

Role Summary

As a Patient Care Technician (PCT), you will work under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, performing vital functions that cater to the age-specific needs of patients. Your role will involve :

• Assisting patients with activities of daily living and documenting care in the medical record.
• Obtaining and recording vital signs, blood glucose levels, EKGs, and patient intake / output while promptly reporting any abnormal findings to the Registered Nurse.
• Delivering quality customer service through a compassionate approach to patient needs.
