SUMMARY :
Merit Services is looking for a Health Information Management Specialist for our client. The incumbent will coordinate and manage all aspects of the electronic health records (EHR), and patient information, including medical records, and other healthcare information.
RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Develop and implement procedures and guidelines for handling health information to ensure compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards.
- Review patient records and ensure all documentation is complete, accurate, and meets legal and ethical standards.
- Maintain and protect patient health information, ensuring the confidentiality, security, and availability of clinical records.
- Monitor and ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and accreditation standards related to health information management.
- Educate and train providers and healthcare staff to properly manage health information and maintain patient confidentiality.
- Analysis and reporting of health data for use, quality assurance, risk management, and strategic planning.
- Provide expert advice and guidance on health information management issues to healthcare providers, staff, and third parties as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS :
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Health Information Management or a related field.
- At least 3-5 years of experience in health information management or related sector, including experience in (ERS).
- Must have knowledge of the laws, regulations, and Safety standards related to health information.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Must have the Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently in a fast-paced environment
