Manager, Production Planning
Position : Manager, Production Planning Job Grades : G08 Report to : Assistant Vice President, Sen. Director, Operations, Head of HSD (APD) Div. Department : Sales Location : Houston or relocation as required
Main Functions
- Production Planning Coordination : Responsible for managing the production and capacity planning processes from order receipt to production plan approval. Coordinates the cooperation between different departments (logistics, material supply, production) to ensure accurate and timely production execution.
- Production Execution Monitoring : Monitors and ensures that the production plan is in line with delivery deadlines. Key responsibilities include meeting the production schedule, managing and communicating any deviations.
- New Product Introduction (NPI) and End of Life (EOL) : Participates in planning the introduction of new products into production and coordinating the end-of-life process, taking into account resources, materials, and financial risks.
Duties and Responsibilities
Optimize inventory levels : Working with the materials management team, you are responsible for determining and tracking optimal inventory levels, taking into account the turnover rate.Capacity Planning and Analysis : Analyzes production capacities, machine time, and human resources to ensure production needs are met in both the long and short term.Order and Production Tracking : Responsible for tracking current orders and production statuses, analyzing discrepancies, and taking necessary corrective actions.Manage objectives and KPIs : Responsible for setting, tracking, and reporting department-related performance indicators (e.g., OTD on-time delivery, inventory turnover, capacity utilization).Team Leadership : Manages the planning team, coordinates tasks on a daily basis, sets goals, and conducts regular performance reviews. Promotes team development and supports internal collaboration.Scope

Qualifications / Experience
Higher education (logistics, engineering, or economics)Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in production planning or a similar fieldExperience in a manufacturing environment is an advantagePrimary Skills / Competences
