About the Role
BCS is working with a growing, PE-backed construction and Field Services company that is looking to add a Controller to its team. This role will have autonomy and ownership over the Accounting + Finance function of the organization and is designed to grow into a VP / CFO role over time.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee accounting, forecasting, budgeting, consolidation, and financial reporting
- Manage journal entries, reconciliations, and financial statement preparation
- Prepare periodic financial reporting packages and present results to the leadership team and PE firm
- Strengthen accounting and reporting systems to ensure timely, accurate information for leadership
- Partner with leadership to define and implement the company’s strategic roadmap
- Assist with M&A due diligence + integration activities
- Supervise administrative staff in project coordination, billing and collections, A / P, expense management, payroll, and compliance
- Develop and maintain internal controls and company policies to safeguard assets and ensure data integrity
- Lead external audit processes and manage relationships with auditors and tax advisors
- Oversee cash management, banking relationships, and lending compliance
Qualifications :
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field; strong understanding of GAAPCPA and / or public accounting experience preferredExpertise in QuickBooks Online (or similar ERP) and strong proficiency in Microsoft ExcelWorking knowledge of Job Costing / Percent of Completion (POC) accounting - can be from audit / public accountingExperience managing and developing a teamPlease apply and email nroof@bcssearch.com for immediate consideration :
